Retro Chevy Step Side C10 Truck with LT1 Engine Swap

Sam Mahdavi’s personal old school Chevy Step Side C10  pickup truck has appeared on all five seasons of Sam’s Garage TV Show.  It is the perfect blend of old school and new school technology.  The truck started out with the stock inline 6 cylinder engine.  Which was removed and replaced with an LT1 C7 dry sump engine.  In addition, the truck has been converted from the stock long bed into a custom wood panel short bed from Brothers Truck Parts.

The new LT1 C7 engine has been upgraded with Livernois Motorsports aluminum heads and performance cam package.  Power is transferred to the transmission via an ACC Performance torque converter.  The suspension has been lowered and converted to modern five lug hub design.  As for interior upgrades the list includes a Dakota digital dash and Flaming River steering column.
